Close your eyes and breathe, Love.
When you are ready, open your eyes.
How do you feel right now? What thoughts, feelings, sensations do you have?
When I was a kid, I thought that there were little microscopic men “working” in my body. My body workers ran the system pretty efficiently and effectively. It was one big living, eating, breathing, moving orchestra! And they played their parts with such a joie de vivre!!!
However you slice it, there is an underlying intelligence in the body. I don’t even know a tiny fraction of all the amazing things that go on inside of the body, but I am awestruck by the little that I do know and experience.
Our body is in a constant dialogue, processing things from the inner & outer worlds. And from this interaction, our body has a lot of intelligent messages to give us. These vital messages are delivered through your intuition & body sensations.
But not all of us can fully tap into the power of this innate sense.
Why is that, you ask?
Maybe it’s never been important to you. Maybe you think it’s silly. Or maybe you don’t know how to read these messages.
Wherever you are at, is fine. AND I think listening to your body’s messages is the key to healing and thereby experiencing an extraordinary life.
A lot of these messages are meant to balance your physical body, “correct” your thoughts, and/or nurture your soul.
When we think of yoga, most of us think of poses (or “asanas”). The term “asana” literally means “seat” in Sanskrit, so it indicates preparing the seat for yoga practices. Traditional yoga isn’t just about the poses. The point of doing the various poses/asanas is to calm the body & mind such that our inner consciousness can come forth.
Tapping into our inner selves enhances our ability to hear.
You can’t see a clear reflection in water unless it’s still. Calm the water.
Calm your mind. And you will be able to hear the messages more clearly.
Trust them. They will guide you to heal & rejuvenate your mind, body & soul…
